Services for Frances Charlotte Flory, 86, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. today at Mount Hope Cemetery Chapel, Topeka. Entombment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery Mausoleum, Topeka.
Mrs. Flory died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, at Brandon Woods Retirement Community, Lawrence.
She graduated from Central School in southern Douglas County.
Mrs. Flory worked for the George and Virginia Docking family when their boys were young. She later worked many years as a telephone operator. She lived in various locations in the Asian and Pacific theater during World War II when her husband was an Air Force sergeant. She had lived earlier near Forbes Air Force Base, Topeka, and later near Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio, before moving to Lawrence in 1999.
She married Paul L. Flory on April 7, 1947, in Baldwin. He died July 12, 1993.
Survivors include three brothers, Donald C. Breithaupt, Lawrence, Dr. J. C. Breithaupt, Baldwin, and Fred Breithaupt, Overbrook.
The family suggests memorials to Alzheimer's Assn., or to an organization of the donor's choice, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
