To the editor:
Instead of "trying to find the mother" of the newborn baby abandoned at Ransom Memorial Hospital, may I suggest we thank her endlessly for choosing life for her baby, for not allowing her to drown in a toilet, or abandoning her in a dumpster to freeze to death. This is precisely why this law was passed nearly two years ago to prevent such tragedies.
I, for one, thank you with all my heart for giving your child the chance to live and grow and hopefully, making a childless couple extremely happy. This had to have been a very difficult decision for you to make and thank God you had the courage to do so.
