Most of the Lawrence residents look forward to KU basketball every year with great enthusiasm. It's very apparent that Coach Williams is well liked and respected by his players. Otherwise many former players wouldn't come back to KU every year to enjoy watching KU play basketball. They would surely stay as far away from KU basketball games as possible.
If you had ever been a coach, you would understand coaching takes a lot of hard work, and yes, sometimes we spectators may not understand Coach Williams' choice of words, but he's human and he wants the best from his boys. I for one am behind Coach Williams 100 percent, and I would bet that speaks for the majority of the KU fans.
