Plymouth plans send-off dinner
Plymouth Congregational Church, 925 Vt., plans an authentic Indian dinner at 6 p.m. Saturday as a send-off for the Rev. Lew Hinshaw and his son, Patrick. They will visit India as delegates of the Kansas/Oklahoma Conference of the United Church of Christ.
Donations will be accepted to help pay for the trip. Call 843-3220 to register for the dinner.
The anthem "Trust in the Lord" will debut at the 9:30 a.m. Sunday service. It was commissioned for Helen Hawley, Plymouth organist and choir director, for her 15 years of service with the church. The piece was written by Andrew Bonacci, who will attend the service.
Singer to perform at Calvary Temple
Singer Pete Whitebird will perform at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Temple Assembly of God, 606 W. 29th Terrace.

Mothers group meets at Corpus Christi
The Catholic Mothers Group will meet at 9:15 a.m. Jan 23 at Lawrence Catholic School at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 6001 W. 15th St.
"Souper" Bowl Sunday will be Feb. 3. After all Masses, junior high youths will collect canned soups to donate to local food pantries.

St. Margaret's series addresses daily routine
The Rev. Darrell Proffitt of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, 5700 W. Sixth St., continues a four-part sermon series, "This Year Will Be Different," during services at 7:45 a.m., 9 a.m., 10:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Sunday. This week's focus will be "Developing A Daily Routine."

First Christian offers PeaceWays
First Christian Church will present a psychological and spiritual healing and growth program for adults called "PeaceWays." The nondenominational program will meet weekly from Jan. 22 to April 9.
