Waco, Texas — Danielle Crockrom scored 24 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead No. 12 Baylor to a 68-49 women's basketball victory over Kansas on Wednesday night.
Sheila Lambert also posted a double-double for Baylor (13-1, 1-1 Big 12) with 14 points and 11 assists.

"Baylor has two great seniors in Crockrom and Lambert," Kansas coach Marian Washington said. "I'm very glad we won't have to face them again."
KC Hilgenkamp led Kansas (5-11, 0-3) with 20 points.
Kristin Geoffroy scored 14 points and Selena Scott added 10 for the Jayhawks, who opened the conference season with three losses for the first time in school history.
Baylor hit 40 percent of its field goals (27 of 67), while the Jayhawks connected on only 18-of-52 shots for 35 percent.
The Bears led by as many as 25 points at 66-41 with just under five minutes to play, but Kansas closed with an 8-2 run.
Trailing 4-3 in the first three minutes, the Bears went on a 13-0 run and went in front, 16-4. From that point, KU never mounted a serious threat.
"It's been a difficult time for us," Washington said. "I have to keep reminding myself that we had a good recruiting class, and the future is bright."
KU freshman Blair Waltz did not play Wednesday. She has a stress fracture in her right foot and is questionable for KU's game Saturday against Missouri.
Tipoff for the Kansas-Mizzou game is 1:05 p.m. at Allen Fieldhouse.
It will be televised live on Fox Sports Midwest, available locally on cable channel 50.
