Topeka — He was born April 19, 1966, in Kansas City, Kan. He was the adopted son of Fred and Jeanne (Doege) Mills. He graduated from Shawnee Heights High School, Topeka, and attended Kansas State University and Washburn University.
He was a musician and health-care worker.
Survivors include a daughter, Belai C. Mills, Perry; his parents, Tonganoxie; and a sister, Jan E. Carson, Topeka.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the church.
The family suggests memorials to Belai C. Mills Education Fund, sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 S.W. Sixth St., Topeka 66603.
