Ottawa — Patrick Ross, an assistant coach at Kansas Wesleyan University, has been named the head coach at Ottawa University.
Ross has been defensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator at Wesleyan for the last four years. In that time, the team went from 0-9 in 1998 to the 2001 Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference championship. His appointment is effective immediately.
Before Wesleyan, Ross was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Wash.
