To the editor:
Is it heretical to suggest that Saint Roy has overstepped his coaching bounds when he instructed his players "to kill before you drive it to the basket" or that failing to defend a player "is not all right. Your life may depend on it because mine depends on it." (Jan. 3 J-W) What if some lesser mortal had used such colorful language? Though I would never presume to question the wisdom of Lawrence's patron saint, I can't help but feel that such inordinate pressure will lead to the inevitable choke.
In the end, basketball, even KU basketball, is only a game.
