— Always first to the gym and the last to leave, Billy Knight has developed into a reliable shooter on a UCLA team loaded with talent.

With so many players battling for minutes and shots, Knight doesn't get the spotlight very often. Especially on Sunday, when he's usually in church and not the gym.

Knight had career highs of 32 points and six three-pointers, and the 14th-ranked Bruins pulled away over the final seven minutes to beat Washington State 81-69 Sunday for their ninth consecutive victory.

"It took five years, but it eventually came," said Knight, who has become a starter in his senior year. "This is a day I usually go to church. I just felt good. If I make my shots in warmups, I feel in the zone early."

The Bruins (11-2) completed a four-game sweep of the Washington schools to start Pac-10 play with a 4-0 mark. Their nine-game winning streak equals the longest under sixth-year coach Steve Lavin.

No. 15 Arizona 93, Oregon State 87

Tucson, Ariz. Jason Gardner had 23 of his career-high 34 points in the second half as UA rallied from a 19-point deficit.

California 68, No. 12 Stanford 54

Berkeley, Calif. Ryan Forehan-Kelly scored 13 of his 19 points over the final five minutes and California ended its 10-game losing streak to Stanford.
