— Kansas State center Nicole Ohlde didn't necessarily plan on scoring in double figures against Baylor, but she's not complaining.

And neither are the rest of the Wildcats.

Ohlde had 26 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Wildcats over No. 7 Baylor, 89-75, Saturday for their second straight victory over a top-10 team.

"Ten things can be going wrong and she'll find a way to make something positive," said K-State coach Deb Patterson.

The victory cemented Kansas State's best start in school history. The Wildcats (14-1, 2-0 Big 12) beat No. 4 Iowa State, 69-63, on Wednesday.

Ohlde hit a turnaround jumper and a free throw with 3:08 to go that gave the Wildcats an eight-point lead and secured Kansas State's 12th straight victory.

Baylor (12-1, 0-1) led by as many as 11 points, but the Wildcats stayed close. They tied it early in the second half and held close until making a 12-0 run with 5:20 left.

K-State, second in the Big 12 in three-pointers, was held to four, but Ohlde made up for it. She made 10-of-20 shots as KSU outscored Baylor 52-34 in the paint. Kendra Wecker finished with 22 points, Laurie Koehn 15, and Megan Mahoney 11.

Sheila Lambert led Baylor with 26 points, while Jessica Stratton had 20.
