Kansas University wide receiver Harrison Hill officially has received a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA.
Hill, who needs 25 receptions to become the Jayhawks' all-time leading receiver, missed KU's final nine games after he suffered a broken shoulder blade in the Jayhawks' loss to UCLA on Sept. 8.
KU officials had been optimistic the NCAA would grant Hill the extra year of eligibility, but held off releasing the news until the NCAA gave its official decision.
Kansas associate athletics director Janelle Martin said Saturday that the word came down last week.
