American outrage

To the editor:

America has been injured deeply by the recent terrorist attacks against her people. We are standing up and fighting back, roused against this horror. I wish that the same could be said of another horrific crime, going on under our very noses. This crime is, in my opinion, much worse; it is treachery, committed by our own American citizens. They kill millions of helpless human beings every day, by cruel and torturous methods, and still nothing is being done to stop this holocaust.

To make the situation yet worse, the innocent victims are mere children, not even yet out of the womb. The murderers are those who we should be able to trust most: our parents, our doctors, and our government. This outrage of which I speak is abortion.

Although I am only 12, I am completely aware of the sinister nature of this crime. I am angry that those adults expected to build a future for my generation are steadily destroying it no, not only my future, but the future of America. American citizens must take responsibility for the future of our nation, and stop this outrage to American honor.
