Kansas No. 11 and Texas A&M No. 12.
That was the preseason prediction of Big 12 Conference women's basketball coaches about where the Jayhawks and Aggies would finish in the final 2002 standings.
So far, however, Texas A&M has won eight of its 12 nonconference games while Kansas (5-9) is the only team in the league with a losing record.
Regardless, KU will play its first home game since Dec. 13 when it plays host to the Aggies today.
Tipoff is 2:05 p.m. in Allen Fieldhouse. A radio broadcast will be available on the Jayhawk Network (KLWN 1320 in Lawrence).
Kansas' last home appearance was an impressive 82-66 triumph over Wichita State. KU shot a season-high 53 percent against the Shockers. Since then, the Jayhawks have dropped three of four games on the road. The only win was an 88-53 thumping of winless Morgan State in the consolation game of the St. Joseph's (Pa.) Classic.
Kansas has never lost in six previous meetings with Texas A&M. Last year in College Station, Nikki White posted career highs with 20 points and nine rebounds in the Jayhawks' 75-62 victory.
