He was born July 27, 1934, in Lawrence, the son of Ernest "Dusty" Robinson and Hattie (Scott) Norman.
Mr. Robinson attended Lawrence High School. He moved to Ottawa from Lawrence in 1955. He moved to Topeka in 1989.
Mr. Robinson was employed by Franklin County Road and Bridge Department from the late 1950s to the late 1960s. In 1968, he began work at the City of Ottawa Public Works Department and retired in 1988.
He was a former member of First Regular Missionary Baptist Church, Lawrence.
He married Barbara Smith in 1951. They divorced. He married Isabelle White on May 10, 1955, in Lawrence. She died Dec. 11, 1987.
Survivors include four sons, Deward, Topeka, Francis Warren, Lawrence, Rick E., Ottawa, and Jerry Lee, Strong City; five daughters, Tamara Jackson and Sandra Washington, both of Topeka, and Teresia "Janie" Templeton, E. Celise Hopkins and Lori Ann Rowles, all of Ottawa; his mother, Hattie Norman, Topeka; 26 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A son, Michael, and two grandsons died earlier.
