Auburn center sidelined

Auburn, Ala. Auburn center Kyle Davis is doubtful for Saturday's game against Arkansas because of a hyperextended right elbow. Davis, who leads the Southeastern Conference in blocked shots (3.5 per game), will be re-examined on Monday to see if the swelling has gone down. If not, he will undergo surgery for the hyperextension and bone fragments and miss about four weeks, coach Cliff Ellis said on Friday.

ISU's Block injured

Terre Haute, Ind. Indiana State guard Kelyn Block, who leads the team in scoring and assists, needs right knee surgery and is expected to be out about three weeks.

Former aide files suit

Tampa, Fla. A former assistant coach for South Florida's women's basketball team filed a racial discrimination lawsuit against her former employer. Tara Gibson is he 10th black woman involved with the program who accused former coach Jerry Ann Winters of running a racially segregated program. The other nine lawsuits were filed by current and former team members. Gibson's suit stated that she lost her job after she complained about a "racially hostile environment."
