Corpus Christi slates stewardship meeting

Sermon series starts at St. Margaret's

The Rev. Darrel Proffitt of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church will begin a four-part sermon series, "This Year Will Be Different," during services at 7:45 a.m., 9 a.m., 10:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the church, 5700 W. Sixth St. This week's focus is "Becoming an Action-oriented Thinker."

The children's Christian education series "Who Are We?" begins Sunday.

Mustard Seed offers monthly service

Mustard Seed Christian Fellowship, 700 Wakarusa Drive, plans a time of worship, "In His Presence," at 7 p.m. Jan. 11. The service, featuring song and worship, is held the second Friday evening of each month.

Prosperity program returns to Unity

The 4T prosperity program returns to Unity Church of Lawrence, 416 Lincoln St., at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The 12-week program seeks to enhance the flow of good in life. Cost for materials, which must be ordered in advance, is $39.95. Reservations are required before Tuesday. Call 841-1447.

A half-hour orientation will be offered at 12:45 p.m. Sunday in the sanctuary.

The annual burning bowl service will be at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday.

Unitarian program features sculptor

Jim Brothers will discuss his work designing and sculpting the D-Day memorial during the program at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Lawrence Unitarian Fellowship, 1263 N. 1100 Road.

Trinity Lutheran plans Epiphany activities

Common Thread will lead music during Epiphany services at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1245 N.H. Child care will be available.

Epiphany events and crafts will be the focus of an all-ages gathering at 9:30 a.m. Sunday in the fellowship hall.

Church school teachers will meet at 6 p.m. Sunday in the social room.

St. John's begins Catholic education

The men's group at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 1234 Ky., will meet at 6:30 a.m. Saturday in the parish hall. For more information, call Scott at 841-8782 or Tim at 842-7696.

Preschool enrollment opens at Good Shepherd

Fall 2002 enrollment for Green Pastures Preschool at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2211 Inverness Drive, will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 18 and Feb. 1. Half-day sessions for children ages 3 to 5 start in September.

Sunday school resumes at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. A potluck dinner will follow services.
