Burglaries and thefts reported

A 40-year-old Kansas City, Mo., man told Lawrence Police that someone damaged his 1996 Chevrolet Blazer between 9 p.m. Monday and 2:30 a.m. Tuesday as it was parked in the 10 block of East Sixth Street. Damage was estimated at $150, and three items taken from the vehicle were valued at $1,600.

Lawrence Police are investigating a theft from Phi Kappa Theta fraternity, 1111 W. 11th St. Someone took a black 2-by-8-foot rectangular pedestal table, valued at $900, and a framed photograph of last year's house members, valued at $1,400, between 2:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday.

A Kansas University professor of architecture Wednesday reported to the KU Public Safety Office that someone took 34 miniature metal Ferraris from a locked studio in Marvin Hall. The cars most of them Hot Wheels, some of them rare and valuable belonged to the professor and were part of a class project, Lt. Schuyler Bailey said. The professor estimated their value at $632.73.
