The Wildcats (13-1) never trailed in the Big 12 opener for both teams and handed Iowa State its first loss at home since a 79-71 setback to Kansas on Feb. 16, 2000.

UConn plays the Lady Vols on Saturday in Knoxville in the annual clash of the perennial powerhouses. Cash's production for the Huskies (15-0, 2-0 Big East) came in a matchup of the Big East's top offense team against the league's worst defensive club.

Norman, Okla. Rosalind Ross scored a career-high 25 points, and Oklahoma rebounded from its first loss of the season by beating Colorado in the Big 12 opener for both teams. LaNeishea Caufield had 16 points and five steals, and Caton Hill had 16 points and 14 rebounds for the Sooners (11-1).

Piscataway, N.J. T'Nae Theil scored 14 points to lead fifth-ranked Stanford (13-1). With only two players on the bench, the Scarlet Knights (4-7) got a season-high 12 points from point guard Saona Chapman and 12 from Dawn McCullouch.

Tallahassee, Fla. Coretta Brown scored 21 points, and Kenya McBee led a second-half rally for North Carolina. The Tar Heels (11-2, 3-0 ACC) used a 22-7 run to take control of the game after trailing for much of the second half.

Fort Collins, Colo. Rachel Klug had 13 points, including four in the final three minutes, and Marquette's defense shut down Colorado State. Marquette (7-6) won for the fourth time in five games.

Lincoln, Neb. Stacy Stephens scored 20 points and pulled down 14 rebounds for Texas. The Longhorns (9-2, 1-0 Big 12) led by six points at halftime and opened the margin to 10 in the first two minutes of the second half.

Boston Teana McKiver had 23 points and nine rebounds, and Tulane broke the game open with two first-half runs. Tulane (12-2) held the Terriers to 27 percent shooting in the first half.
