A memorial Mass for Carol M. Falt, 87, Los Altos, Calif., will be at 8 a.m. Monday at St. Lawrence Catholic Center, Lawrence. She was cremated.
Mrs. Falt died Dec. 5, 2001, at her home.
She was born Oct. 27, 1914, in Yuba City, Calif., the daughter of Arthur and Bessie (Luther) Scott. She was raised in Yuba City, Calif. She attended California State University, Chico, becoming the first person in her family to graduate from college.
After earning her teaching credentials, she moved to Mountain View, Calif., to establish her teaching career. She taught elementary school for 30 years, concluding her career in Burlingame, Calif., when she retired in 1976. In 1997, she moved to Pilgrim Haven, a retirement center in Los Altos, Calif.
She married Lester Falt on Aug. 9, 1941, in Monterey, Calif. He died in 1986.
Survivors include two sons, Jeff Falt, Danville, Calif., and Dennis Falt, Tokyo; a daughter, Pam Eglinski, Lawrence; two brothers, Wilbur Scott, Albuquerque, N.M., and Wayne Scott, Palo Alto, Calif.; one sister, Joyce Evans, Yuba City, Calif.; and four granddaughters.
The family suggests memorials to St. Lawrence Catholic Center, 1631 Crescent Rd., Lawrence 66044.
