The Kansas Dental Board, through its partnership with accessKansas, a service of the Information Network of Kansas, has launched its inaugural Web site.
The Web site, www.accesskansas.org/kdb, is designed to allow licensees and the public the ability to quickly retrieve information from the dental board. Previously, a phone call might have been the only means available to retrieve the information.
Jerri Freed, Kansas Dental Board executive director, thinks the new site will be helpful to licensees and the public and also will reduce some of the workload on the board's office.
The dental board plans to use the new site as a springboard for several electronic government applications that will further assist their customers.
An online license verification application will be launched early this year. The online license renewal process also should be ready for the 2002 renewal period in October.
