CLAY CENTER — Services for Juanita Isabel Gaswint, 87, Baldwin, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home, Clay Center. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center.
Mrs. Gaswint died Friday, Dec. 28, 2001, at Baldwin Care Center.
She was born Nov. 20, 1914, in White City, the daughter of James W. and Henrietta W. (Dobbins) Pickett.
Mrs. Gaswint moved to Clay Center when she was 8 years old. She moved to Baldwin in 1935, then returned to Clay Center in 1965. She moved to Wellsville in 1985.
Mrs. Gaswint was a member of the Swedesburg First Lutheran Church of Clay County and was active in senior citizen groups in Clay Center and Wellsville. She also was a member of the Wellsville United Methodist Church and the Baldwin Rebekah Lodge.
She married Clifford Gaswint Dec. 12, 1930. He died Sept. 5, 1999.
Survivors include a son, Warren Gaswint Sr., Jarrell, Tex.; three daughters, Joanne Fiehler, Wellsville; Delores Hall, Tehachapi, Calif.; Donna Kasper, Temple, Tex.; a brother; 18 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.
A granddaughter, grandson and great-grandson died earlier.
The family suggests memorials to Swedesburg First Lutheran Church or Baldwin Care Center, sent in care of the funeral home, 918 Seventh St., Clay Center, 67432.
