— She was born Nov. 20, 1914, in White City, the daughter of James W. and Henrietta W. (Dobbins) Pickett.

Mrs. Gaswint moved to Clay Center when she was 8 years old. She moved to Baldwin in 1935, then returned to Clay Center in 1965. She moved to Wellsville in 1985.

Mrs. Gaswint was a member of the Swedesburg First Lutheran Church of Clay County and was active in senior citizen groups in Clay Center and Wellsville. She also was a member of the Wellsville United Methodist Church and the Baldwin Rebekah Lodge.

She married Clifford Gaswint Dec. 12, 1930. He died Sept. 5, 1999.

Survivors include a son, Warren Gaswint Sr., Jarrell, Tex.; three daughters, Joanne Fiehler, Wellsville; Delores Hall, Tehachapi, Calif.; Donna Kasper, Temple, Tex.; a brother; 18 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.

A granddaughter, grandson and great-grandson died earlier.

The family suggests memorials to Swedesburg First Lutheran Church or Baldwin Care Center, sent in care of the funeral home, 918 Seventh St., Clay Center, 67432.
