She was born May 15, 1915, in Chapman, the daughter of Michael and Mayme (Miller) Meyer. She graduated from Chapman High School in 1933.
Mrs. Rombeck worked at United Telephone, Junction City, for 26 years. She held many positions, including training telephone operators. She retired in 1978.
She was a member of St. Xavier Catholic Church. She was also a past president of St. Xavier's PTA and treasurer of St. Xavier's Athletic Assn.
She married James Rombeck on Nov. 24, 1941, in Chapman. He died July 1, 1996.
Survivors include a son, Michael Rombeck, Belle Plaine; two daughters, Sharon Morales and Janice Rombeck, both of San Jose, Calif.; a sister, Helen Acker, Chapman; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Mass-Hinitt Funeral Chapel, Junction City, where there will be a prayer vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
