Gary and Susan Campbell, McLouth, announce the engagement of their son, Joseph Campbell, Lawrence, to Sharon O’Connell, Kansas City, Mo.

The future bride received a bachelor’s degree in music from the University of New Mexico and graduated with her master’s degree in music from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2000. She is employed as assistant director of education at the Lyric Opera, Kansas City, Mo.

The future groom plans to graduate from the Kansas University with a bachelor’s degree in music in May. He sings with the Lyric Opera.

The couple plan an Oct. 19 wedding at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence.

Butler-Lutz

Amanda Butler and Jeremiah Lutz, both of Lawrence, announce their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of John Butler, Topeka, and Kathy Brayton, Tecumseh. She is a graduate of Washburn Rural High School, Topeka. She plans to graduate from Kansas University in May. She is employed at Bristol Bar and Grill, Leawood.

The future groom is the son of Gary Lutz, Shreveport, La., and Moonshadow, Phoenix. He is a graduate of Valley Falls High School. He is employed as head of maintenance with AC Management, Lawrence.

The couple plan a Nov. 2 wedding in Lawrence.

Kelso-Burghart

Michael and Deborah Kelso, Overland Park, and Jon and Mary Burghart, Derby, announce the engagement of their children, Allison Kelso and Nathan Burghart, both of Lawrence.

The future bride is a graduate of Shawnee Mission North High School, Overland Park. She received a bachelor’s degree in social work from Kansas University. She received her juris doctorate from Washburn University’s School of Law.

The future groom is a graduate of Kapaun-Mt. Carmel High School, Wichita. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Wichita State University. He received his juris doctorate from Kansas University.

The couple plan a May 25 wedding at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Lawrence.

Lewis-Rulifson

Stephen and Lorel Lewis, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Rose Lewis, to John Rulifson, both of Olathe.

The future bride is a 1995 Lawrence High School graduate. She is a 2000 cum laude graduate of Baker University, where she earned a degree in music education. She is employed by Shawnee Mission public schools in Overland Park.

The future groom is the son of Bob and Ruth Rulifson, Wichita. He is a 1985 graduate of Bethany College, Lindsborg, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He is self-employed as a computer consultant.

The couple plan a June 16 wedding at Trinity Episcopal Church, Lawrence.
