Can’t finish what he started

Baton Rouge, La. Master P has been forced to sell an unfinished recording studio to settle unpaid construction bills and other debts.

The rap mogul, whose real name is Percy Miller, announced plans for the $10 million Baton Rouge studio in 1997. Contracting disputes slowed construction and the studio is now a shell, with unfinished walls and a chain-link fence warning of guard dogs.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office is scheduled to auction the property today.

Boy-band forecast cloudy

New York 98 Degrees is cooling off for a while.

The four-member boy band is taking “an extended break,” according to its official Web site.

“They have no immediate plans to record or tour,” the site says in a message to fans, adding that “their future is unclear” and they’re accepting no new fan club members.

Two of their albums, “98 Degrees and Rising” in 1999 “Revelation” in 2000, went multiplatinum.

Singer Nick Lachey, 28, and pop star Jessica Simpson, 21, recently got engaged.

The 24-year-old singer told reporters she’d love to have a baby: “The truth is I’m dying (to have a baby) but right now my baby is called ‘Laundry Service.”‘
