Theodore R. McCollum

Meriden Services for Theodore R. McCollum, 20, Meriden, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Jefferson Assembly of God Church, 2 miles north of Meriden on U.S. Highway 4. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Meriden.

Mr. McCollum died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at St. Francis Hospital, Topeka.

He was born Nov. 13, 1981, in Topeka, the son of Randal Dale and Kelly Ann (Surritt) McCollum. He had lived in Meriden for two years, moving from Topeka where he had lived most of his life.

Mr. McCollum attended Seaman public schools and had participated in football in the Lawrence youth football leagues. He also participated in BMX bicycle racing.

He was a machinist apprentice at Meriden Machine Shop for seven years.

Survivors include a son, Bradley Joel McCollum, of the home; his father, Topeka; his mother and step-father, John Kampsen, Meriden; a companion, Angel Lee Sisco, of the home; two brothers, Keith and Brandon, Meriden; a stepsister, Jennifer Kampsen, Hoyt; maternal grandparents, Jim and Carol Surritt, Meriden; his paternal great-grandmother, Christina Faunce, Meriden; and maternal great-grandparents, Jesse and Rosie Surritt, Silver Lake, and Dan and Wilma McCarty, Topeka.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the church, where the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
