She was born Oct. 31, 1913, in Obion, Tenn., the daughter of Daucy Hurdle and Addie (Trogdon) White. She attended grade school in Longmont, Colo., and graduated from Longmont High School in 1931. She graduated from Colorado State University in 1935. She later attended the Woodbury School of Design in Los Angeles.

Mrs. Jones taught for two years at Montezuma High School. She worked as an air traffic controller during World War II at Sky Harbor Airport, Phoenix, and at Cochise, Ariz. She also taught photography at Lowry Field, Denver. She taught at Overbrook Grade School from 1962 to 1979.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Fidelis Club, Thimble Club, Friends of the Library, Hobby Club and Wilshire Investment Club, all in Overbrook. She was also a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and Colorado State University Alumni Assn.

She married Kenneth L. Jones on Aug. 18, 1943, in Topeka. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Kathleen K. Struby, Omaha, and Nancy E. Hack, Longmont, Colo.; a son, Stanley G. Jones, Omaha; a brother, Boone L. White, Tigard, Ore.; and seven grandchildren.
