Jazz jolt Sixers

? Pushed out of town by the Olympics, the Utah Jazz are trying to make a move on the road.

Karl Malone had 26 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists, leading the Jazz to a 98-91 victory over Philadelphia on Thursday.

Bryon Russell added 14 points, and John Stockton and Jarron Collins each scored 11 for Utah, which came off a 16-point victory at Indiana on Tuesday.

Allen Iverson scored 34 points on 9-for-27 shooting, and Derrick Coleman had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Philadelphia.

Utah has won two straight after losing the first two games of a nine-game road trip. The Jazz have five more on the road before returning home following the Olympics.

Utah center Greg Ostertag returned after serving a one-game suspension imposed by coach Jerry Sloan after the two were involved in a bumping incident last Wednesday against Memphis. He scored eight points. Meanwhile, Utah’s Deshawn Stevenson played for the first time since he was sentenced Monday to two years probation for having sex with a minor.

Pistons 85, Nets 80

East Rutherford, N.J. Jerry Stackhouse scored 22 points to lead Detroit tover New Jersey. Stackhouse scored six points in a 10-2 run over the final 2:37 that gave the Pistons their 11th win in 15 games. Keith Van Horn led New Jersey with 26 points.

Nuggets 100, Grizzlies 85

Memphis, Tenn. Raef LaFrentz had 23 points, nine rebounds and five blocked shots, and Denver used a 19-2 run in the fourth quarter to beat Memphis. Lorenzen Wright, sidelined 33 games by a broken bone below his knee, scored 20 points for the Grizzlies in his first game since Dec. 6.

Spurs 89, Clippers 76

Los Angeles Tim Duncan had 15 points and 11 rebounds as San Antonio beat Los Angeles.

Michael Olowokandi led the Clippers with 15 points.

Lakers 92, Sonics 87

Seattle Kobe Bryant scored 23 points, including 10 in the final quarter, as Los Angeles beat Seattle. The Sonics lost starting forward Vin Baker with three broken toes in his left foot.

Kings 109, Wizards 93

Sacramento, Calif. Chris Webber had 20 points and 14 rebounds, outdueling Michael Jordan and leading Sacramento to their 20th straight home victory. Jordan scored 16 points.
