Burglaries and thefts reported

A 21-year-old McLouth woman reported to Lawrence Police that her 1992 Mazda Miata was taken Sunday from the 1000 block of North Third Street. A man the woman knows is a suspect, police said.

The city of Lawrence reported that two parking meters were damaged between midnight Friday and early Monday. An unknown amount of money was taken from each meter. Damage to the meters, in the 700 block of Kentucky Street and the 200 block of West 10th Street, was estimated at $500 each.

Someone removed a Clarion CD player face plate and several other items from a 19-year-old Kansas University student’s vehicle overnight Sunday, Lawrence Police said. Damage to the driver’s side window of the vehicle, which was parked in the 2500 block of West 31st Street, was estimated at $100. The missing items were valued at $1,620.

A Sony Handycam was reported taken from a residence in the 1200 block of Ohio Street. The camcorder, valued at $1,500, was removed between 11:30 p.m. Friday and 2 a.m. Saturday, a Lawrence Police report said. A 22-year-old Lawrence man reported the incident.
