Doris Pauline Wiley

Tonganoxie Services for Doris Pauline Wiley, 88, Tonganoxie, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Hubbel Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie.

Mrs. Wiley died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, at Tonganoxie Nursing Center.

She was born July 31, 1913, on a farm east of McLouth, the daughter of Perl and Ella (Knowlton) Moore. She was a graduate of Eureka County School and McLouth High School.

Mrs. Wiley worked at the North American Bomber Plant during World War II and later as a nurse at Providence Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan., for 30 years.

She was a member of Stanwood Friends Church, rural McLouth, for more than 60 years.

She married Walter L. Wiley on Feb. 12, 1933. He died Nov. 19, 2001.

Survivors include two sons, Lyle Wayne Wiley, Grove, Okla., and Ronald L. Wiley, Brookline, Mo.; a daughter, Judith Kay Evans, Tonganoxie; a sister, Virginia Ambler, Plano, Tex.; three grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
