County commission

Rural greenhouse seeks permit

Bottom Line

County commissioners will hear a request for a conditional-use permit for a rural Eudora resident wanting to establish a greenhouse and other related retail sales on property just south of Eudora High School.

Background

Both the Lawrence-Douglas County Planning Commission and the Eudora Planning Commission are recommending denial of the request. Instead, planners say Donald Grinnell, 1211 E. 2200 Road, should seek to have his property annexed into the Eudora city limits before he starts his business.
