He was born July 14, 1940, in Calico Rock, Ark., the son of James Harold and Mildred Lee (Peck) Lindsey. He was a lifelong resident of Eudora.

He served in the Army. He was a heavy equipment operator at Farmland Industries until retirement in 1994.

Survivors include two sons, Alex James, Ottawa, and Ronald J., DeSoto; his mother, Mildred Lindsey, Eudora; a sister, Carol Janice Ziegler, Eudora; and two granddaughters.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
