He was born May 26, 1923, in Tonganoxie, the son of Walter M. and Mabel (Burnau) Quisenberry. He had lived in Lawrence the past 34 years, moving from Tonganoxie.

He was a Navy veteran, serving in World War II.

Mr. Quisenberry was a retired self-employed brick mason.

He married Doris R. Dowers on May 25, 1968, in Lawrence. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a stepdaughter, Sara Houser, Baldwin; a stepson, Eugene Doane, McLouth; a sister, Jean Quinlan, Lawrence; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
