Jack Sly Jr.

Baldwin Memorial services for Jack Sly Jr., 81, Baldwin, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lamb-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home, Baldwin. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.

Mr. Sly died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, at his home.

He was born Aug. 12, 1920, in Los Angeles, the son of Clarence Jr. and Dora (Morris) Sly. He grew up and attended school in Oakland, Calif., graduating from high school in 1938. He then attended the University of California.

Mr. Sly worked as an architectural designer for several companies in the Bay Area before taking a job in Alaska in 1975. He retired in 1983 and moved to Baldwin.

He was a past 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Aahmes Shrine, Berkley, Calif.

He married Sharon Morris on Jan. 11, 1964, in Mexico. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include four daughters, Kathryn Sly, Boise, Idaho, Judi Sly, Sonora, Calif., Jackie Bertram, Douglas, Wy., and Glenda Endriss, Lawrence; three sons, James and John, Rio Vista, Calif., and Michael Atwood, Dandridge, Tenn.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
