I have given up driving but not my independence.

It was with uncertainty that I set out to learn the city bus routes of Lawrence. What a pleasant time I have had meeting bus drivers who are friendly and helpful. They informed me of the rules of catching the bus, how to use transfers and watched to pick me up when I returned. This same friendly attitude was given to all customers along the two routes that I have so far used. It also pleased me to watch the young people of Lawrence using the bus with quiet respect for the drivers and other passengers. There parents could be well pleased.

The buses are comfortable and clean. Where else can a senior citizen go for a leisure afternoon ride for a quarter?
