Charles and Sherrie Binggeli, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Reanee Binggeli to Bryan Scott Maier, both of Overland Park.

The future bride received a bachelor’s degree in social work from Kansas State University and bachelor’s degree in nursing from Washburn University. She is employed by Providence Medical Center in the Family Care Center.

The future groom is the son of Bill and Nancy Maier, Winfield. He received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Kansas University. He is employed by the Kansas City Racquet Club.

The couple plan a March 23 wedding at the First United Methodist Church, Lawrence.

Connie Cain, Lawrence, and John and Cathy Greenwalt, Taft, Calif., announce the engagement of their children, Caryn Alisa Cain, Lawrence, and John Ross Greenwalt II, Taft, Calif.

The future bride is a 2000 graduate of Lawrence High School. She is pursuing a career in youth ministry.

The future groom is a 1999 graduate of Burney High School, Burney, Calif. He is a 2001 graduate of Haskell Indian Nations University, where he received an associate’s degree in media arts. He is a production assistant for 6News.

The couple plan a May 11 wedding at Cornerstone Southern Baptist Church, Lawrence.

Steve and Linda Guss, Baldwin, and John and Gerol Moore, Hiawatha, announce the engagement of their children, Erin Guss and Brad Scraper.

The future bride is a graduate of Baldwin High School and Emporia State University. She is a trainer for Iowa Glass Depot of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The future groom is a graduate of Hiawatha High School and Emporia State University. He is a manager for Enterprise Rent-a-Car of Lawrence.

The couple plan an April 20 at First United Methodist Church in Baldwin.

Flood-Hanson

David and Mary Hanson, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their son, Timothy Alan Hanson to Rachel Anne Flood, both of Frisco, Colo.

The future bride is the daughter of Diane Flood, Hays, and the late Steven P. Flood. She graduated with a degree in journalism from Kansas University in 1987. She is a free-lance writer in Summit County, Colo.

The future groom is a graduate of Eudora High School. He is the manager of Virgin Islands Ski Rental.

The couple plan a May 25 wedding at Hoisington Ranch, near Paradise.

Ihrig-Spurlock

Fred and Maxine Ihrig, Wichita, and Sandra Drake and Jerry Spurlock, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their children, Lisa Ihrig and Charles Spurlock.

The future bride is a graduate of Wichita South High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Kansas University. She is teaching English and Spanish at Wichita East High School.

The future groom is a graduate of Lawrence High School and Kansas University. He earned a master’s degree in Christian education at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Mo. He is serving as a minister to youth and senior adults at First Baptist Church, Blountstown, Fla. He also coaches varsity girls basketball at Blountstown High School.

The couple plan for a June 15 wedding at First Southern Baptist Church in Lawrence.

Proctor-Markway

Monica Proctor and Greg Markway, both of Lawrence, announce the engagement along with their parents.

The future bride is the daughter of Bob Proctor and Ginny Proctor, both of Lawrence. She is a 1988 graduate of Lawrence High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2001.

The future groom is the son of Everette and Marla Markway, Jefferson City, Mo. He is a 1993 graduate of Helias High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Missouri, Columbia, Mo., in 1997. He earned his D.D.S. from UMKC in 2001.

The couple plan a March 23 wedding at Christ Community Church in Lawrence.
