Chicago ? Junior forward Sam Hoskin and sophomore point guard Imari Sawyer were suspended indefinitely Friday by DePaul’s basketball team, and senior center Lance Williams will sit out one game. The school said the trio violated athletics department academic policy.

Williams, the team’s second-leading rebounder (7.0 per game) and third-leading scorer (10.6), can play Sunday at UNLV but will sit out Wednesday’s Conference USA game at Texas Christian. Hoskin is the Blue Demons’ second-leading scorer (11.5) and is third in rebounding (6.6). Sawyer leads the team in assists (5.4).

DePaul (8-11 overall, 1-7) has played the last three games without coach Pat Kennedy, who has a bulging disc in his back.
