Sneegas

Walter Sneegas and Ruth Kite-Sneegas, Beaumont, Tex., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on the beaches of Galveston Island, Tex.

Walter Sneegas and Ruth Kite were married Feb. 7, 1952, in Las Cruces, N.M.

Walter was born in Lawrence and graduated form Liberty Memorial High School. He served in the Korean conflict from 1950-1953, stationed in Bad Hersfeld, Germany. He retired from Kohler Company as regional zone manager in 1994.

Ruth was born in Lawrence and graduated from Armijo High School, Fairfield, Calif.

The couple have three children, Michael Sneegas, Audrey Hudspeth and Melissa Sutton, all of Lawrence. They also have four grandchildren.

Williams

Gordon and Margaret Williams, Lawrence, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a surprise limo drive to Valley Falls Bed and Breakfast.

They were married Dec. 30, 1951, in Alton.

The couple have two daughters, Jeanette Stanley, Valley Center, and Kristy Beach, Lawrence.

The also have four grandchildren.
