Bryant services

? He was born April 1, 1912, in Perry, the son of James Henry and Florence Susan (Washington) Bryant. He graduated from Perry High School in 1931 and spent his entire life in Perry.

Mr. Bryant was a farmer and stockman. He also had worked for various construction companies in the Lawrence, Topeka and Kansas City areas. He was a member, deacon and Sunday school teacher for Lawrence and Tonganoxie Pentecostal Churches.

He married Gladys Hysten on Nov. 23, 1936, in Perry. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Donald, Wichita; two daughters, Merna Jefferson, Topeka, and Joan Bryant-Spann, Perry; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Lawrence Funeral Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today.

The family suggests memorials to the Earl W. Bryant Memorial Fund, which the family will designate later, sent in care of the funeral chapel.
