Easum services

Graveside services for Charlene E. Easum, 70, Lawrence, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Easum died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka.

She was born Oct. 4, 1932, in Wichita, the daughter of Bert C. and Lenora Carlyle. She graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1950 and attended Topeka Business School.

Mrs. Easum had worked for Capper’s Foundation in Topeka. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.

She married Norman Easum in 1958 in Miami, Okla. He died Oct. 13, 1990.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Easum and Timothy Easum, both of Lawrence; a daughter, Robin Hurley, Edmond, Okla.; her step-mother, Elsa Carlyle, Linn; four brothers, Tom Carlyle, Hoyt, Bert Carlyle, Ocala, Fla., Art Carlyle, Dayton, Tenn., and Larry Carlyle, Fort Myers, Fla.; two sisters, Patricia Hackathorn, Oskaloosa, and Robbie Criss, Lawrence; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Friends and family will meet at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Friday for a procession to the cemetery.

The family suggests memorials to American Lung Assn., or the charity of the donor’s choice, sent in care of the funeral home.
