Miami QB Lucas leaves with nerve injury in neck

Miami Dolphins quarterback Ray Lucas was hurt in Sunday’s 38-21 loss at Buffalo, but regular starter Jay Fiedler replaced him. Fiedler is expected to be ready to start next week.

Lucas was diagnosed with a nerve injury in his neck after he was hit on a blitz by linebacker Keith Newman and fell forward into Dolphins tackle Todd Wade early in the third quarter.

New Orleans quarterback Aaron Brooks left the Saints’ 23-20 win over Tampa Bay on the final series with a bruised right arm. Jake Delhomme, who replaced him, completed a 10-yard third-down pass that clinched the game.

Chargers defensive tackle Jamal Williams dislocated his left ankle and will miss the rest of the season.

Bears’ starting running back, Anthony Thomas broke his right index finger in the first half.
