Burglaries and thefts reported

  • A 1991 Chevrolet Caprice valued at $3,200 was taken sometime during the early-morning hours Friday, according to a Lawrence Police report. It had been parked in 1300 block of West 24th Street. A 24-year-old Lawrence man reported the theft.
  • A 33-year-old Lawrence man told police someone had used his debit card to take $6,010 from his bank account. The money was taken between Nov. 11 and Nov. 25, a police report said.
  • A pickup truck was burglarized sometime early Wednesday while it was parked in the 2500 block of University Drive, a Lawrence Police report said. The truck’s lock was punched and a window was broken. Compact discs valued at a total of $1,500 were taken. Damage to the truck was listed at $500. A 22-year-old Lawrence man reported the incident.
  • A 1997 Ford car was burglarized sometime Monday night or early Tuesday morning while it was parked in the 4700 block of Harvard Road, a police report said. A compact disc and radio were taken. The car sustained damage to the body trim. Damage and losses totaled $935. A 53-year-old Lawrence man reported the incident.
  • A 1990 Chrysler LeBaron was taken sometime Wednesday night or early Thursday morning from the 1700 block of West 24th Street. It was valued at $1,000. A 55-year-old man reported the theft.
