She was born April 29, 1930, in Cambridge Springs, Pa., the daughter of Edward and Wanda (Grabowski) Kyberski.

Mrs. Mitchell was head of circulation at LaGrange (Ill.) Public Library until she retired.

She married Frederick B. Mitchell on Jan. 12, 1950, in Chicago. He died June 16, 1997.

Survivors include two sons, Bruce Mitchell, Downers Grove, and Stewart Mitchell, Carol Stream; three daughters, Victoria Lysen, Lawrence, Kan., Sandra Miller, Wheaton, and Pamela Mitchell, Addison; a sister, Gloria Gerber, West Bloomfield, Mich.; and 12 grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
