She was born June 22, 1910, in Hugoton, the daughter of Stephen S. and Emma E. (Fitzgerald) Holloway. She was raised in Big Springs and moved in 1934 to rural Melvern, where she lived until she moved to Melvern in 1982.

Mrs. Richardson was a homemaker. She wrote the Melvern News for the Osage County newspaper for several years. She was a member of Melvern United Methodist Church.

She married Marvin Richardson on July 16, 1927, in Olathe. He died December 25, 1985.

Survivors include two sons, Gaylord, Overbrook, and Dale, Carthage, Mo.; four daughters, Betty Bumgardner, Platteville, Wis., Addie Hoffsommer, Overbrook, Lois Maine, Olivet, and Cheryl Valliquette, Seligman, Mo.; 27 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

A son, Thayer, and a daughter, Evelyn, died earlier.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
