Rogers

Jerry and Jane Rogers, Lawrence, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Elizabeth Jane Heywood and Jerry Rogers married Aug. 2, 1952, in the McClintock Chapel of Grace Cathedral in Topeka. They are graduates of Washburn University, where they met. They have lived in Lawrence since 1952. Jane is a homemaker.

Jerry worked at Lawrence High School from 1950 to 1967 and at Kansas University from 1967 to 1991.

Their children are Jennifer Rogers, Kansas City, Mo., and Kyle Rogers and his wife, Michele, Lawrence.

They also have three grandchildren.

Hahn

Jim and Audrey Hahn will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house Aug. 31 at the American Legion in Lawrence.

They were married Aug. 30, 1952, in Bentonville, Ark.

Jim worked for FMC in Lawrence from 1952 to 1957. He served in the Marine Corp. from 1957 to 1959. After his discharge from the Marine Corp., Jim worked at FMC until 1962. In 1962, Jim began working for Audrey’s family at their business, Kaw Motors. Both Jim and Audrey worked at Kaw Motors until their retirement in 1993.

The couple’s children are Jamie Roadhouse, Osborne, and Joel Hahn, Lawrence. They have four grandchildren.
