The YES Program needs two or three volunteers to work with at-risk 4-year-olds Monday through Friday. Morning sessions last from 8:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., and afternoon sessions run from 12:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. People who have experience with young children are preferred.

Volunteers would act as teacher’s aides and work with children on language and reading skills, physical education, art and music. Aides also work with children on computers and take them to the library.

To volunteer, call Heather Wallsmith at the number above, or you can send e-mail to hwallsmith@usd348.com.
