Verna C. Bahnmaier

Topeka Services for Verna C. Bahnmaier, 93, Topeka, will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Highland Chapel, Topeka. Burial will be in Stull Cemetery.

Mrs. Bahnmaier died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, at United Methodist Home, Topeka.

She was born Oct. 4, 1908, in Kansas City, Kan.

Mrs. Bahnmaier lived most of her adult life on the family farm southwest of Lecompton before moving to Topeka. She was a homemaker and a former member of the Stull United Methodist Church.

She married Andrew Bahnmaier on May 20, 1931. He died Aug. 17, 1968.

Survivors include a daughter, Leah Mae Shaw, Silver Lake; a son, John Bahnmaier, Gladstone, Mo.; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive them from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
