Meetings on farm bill slated
The Department of Agriculture will be conducting informational meetings on the new farm bill’s yield and base provisions.
Topics will include updating bases and yields, how they are applied to payments and how they are calculated. All landowners and operators should plan to attend one of the meetings.
The meetings are:
7 p.m. today, Building No. 1, Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds, 2110 Harper St.
1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Mutual Savings, 515 Delaware St., Oskaloosa.
7 p.m. Wednesday, Kendall State Bank (Community Hall) 406 Broadway St., Valley Falls.
1:30 p.m. Thursday, Building No. 1, Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds, 2110 Harper St.
