Hilda H. Pickert

Mrs. Pickert died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, at Golden Heights Living Center, Garnett.

She was born Jan. 22, 1911, in Anderson County, the daughter of Herman A. and Mary Hermreck.

Mrs. Pickert was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and a member of the Altar Society. She was a Third Order member of the Carmelites.

She married Fred J. Pickert on Nov. 18, 1930, in Scipio. He died earlier.

Survivors include three sons, Kenneth Pickert, Wayne, Pa., Gerald Pickert, Richmond, and Leon Pickert, Lawrence; three daughters, Rosalie Waner and Betty McArdle, both of Lawrence, and Elaine Kruse, Olathe; a brother, Lee Hermreck, Ottawa; a sister, Erma Bartholomew, Naples, Fla.; 24 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon today at Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapels, Garnett, where the family will receive them after a wake service at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The family suggests memorials to a beneficiary to be designated later, left in care of the funeral chapel, P.O. Box 408, Garnett 66032.
