Shirley Mae Benefiel

Coffeyville Graveside services for Shirley Mae Benefiel, 63, Overland Park, formerly of Coffeyville, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Restlawn Memorial Cemetery, Coffeyville.

Mrs. Benefiel died Friday, Aug. 9, 2002, at her home.

She was born April 22, 1939, in Mound Valley, the daughter of Glenn Allmon and Edith Maxine (Dillinger) Tedstrom. She was a graduate of Altamont High School. She lived in Baxter Springs; Rogers, Ark.; and Oklahoma City; before moving to Overland Park in 1978.

Mrs. Benefiel was employed as a bookkeeper at First Federal Savings and Loan in Coffeyville from 1958 to 1963.

She married Tom Benefiel April 30, 1961. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Gregory Thomas Benefiel, Lawrence, and Michael Dean Benefiel, Overland Park; a daughter, Julie Ann Benefiel, Denver; a brother, Kenneth Lee Tedstrom, Rio Rancho, N.M.; and five grandchildren.

A daughter, Kathryn Sue Benefiel, died earlier.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Edgewood Chapel, Coffeyville, where family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
